Exemplar Health Care has officially opened its fifth state-of-the-art care home in the West Midlands, supporting 30 adults living with a range of complex and high acuity needs; including brain injuries, neuro-disabilities, spinal injuries, physical disability or mental health conditions.

Blackmoor has 30 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across three units. The home also features communal dining and living spaces, as well as an activities hub, therapy kitchen, salon, multi-faith room and large accessible garden, for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The new home is conveniently located on Blackmoor Croft, near Birmingham city centre, and will generate over 100 jobs to residents in the local area.

Speaking about the opening, Kerry Hill, Blackmoor’s Commissioning Home Director, said: “We are extremely happy to be able to open the fifth Exemplar Care Home in the West Midlands. We have designed and built Blackmoor to provide person-centered nursing care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills, and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.

“We are delighted to be able to support 30 adults living with a range of complex and high acuity needs while also generating over 100 jobs to the surrounding area of Birmingham. Blackmoor is a state-of-the-art community-basedhome that will allow the residents to feel comfortable and also develop their independent living skills.”
