  • $8.1 Million raised for digital mental health solutions

Global health tech company, SilverCloud Health has raised over $8 million in funding, which will be used to address behavioral healthcare worldwide.

SilverCloud are aiming to use the investment, which is around £6.5 million, to define a new healthcare model to meet their rapidly growing demand.

Their health platform is currently used by over 120 healthcare organisations across the US and Europe, while supporting 45% of NHS mental health services – a number that has risen exponentially in the last two years, when support was just a single percent.

Integration with personal health and activity monitoring devices is expected to personalise and help physical and behavioural healthcare.

A lead investor was firm B Captial Group, founded by Raj Ganguly and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin. The company believes SilverCloud’s room to grow is immense.

“We’ve seen SilverCloud’s impact on patients and clinicians,” explained Gavin Teo, B Capital Group partner, “Their digital health platform is enabling new ways for provider systems and pharma companies to personalize therapeutic delivery to the individual patient, which is a building block for clinically validated, value driven care.”

Currently addressing conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress, as well as long term chronic conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the health company hopes to continue to offer choice and diversity in order for their services to fit into their clients’ needs.
