NW Hearts Charity is the local charity for Greater Manchester. They are passionate about supporting people and projects across the region to improve the lives of people living with, or at serious risk of having, heart disease.
Some areas of Greater Manchester have higher rates of heart and circulatory diseases than the National average for many years.
They do this by funding a range of projects in hospitals, healthcare settings and community groups. Whilst offering support to ensure the projects have the maximum impact on the most people.
Along with funding projects, NW Hearts Charity also delivers Heart Health Sessions to organisations where participants will learn about heart conditions, consider their own heart health and learn some basic steps to take when faced with a health emergency. These sessions can be delivered in person within Greater Manchester, or Nationally online.
